title: Settings overview description: What lives where in Settings, top to bottom.

Settings overview

Settings is the long list reached via the gear icon. It's organized top-to-bottom in rough priority order — the things you might want to change live above the things you'll rarely touch.

Sections, in order

  1. Profile header

Top of the screen. Your name (if you've signed in), avatar, and account email. Tap to open Account.

  2. Help Center

Single row with an arrow — links to rhythmfit.me/help (this site). The first thing below the profile because new users hit this first.

  3. Rate prompt (occasional)

Shows up after you've completed a few workouts. Tap to leave a review on the App Store. Dismissable; doesn't return for ~60 days.

  4. Apple Health

Toggle to write completed sessions to the Health app. Pulls in read permission for heart rate, which powers the live heart-rate display during Watch workouts.

  5. iCloud sync

Toggle. When on, workouts and session history sync across devices via your Apple ID's iCloud. Off by default.

  6. Core configuration

    The most-edited section. Sub-pages:

    • Coach Persona — voice + style
    • Reminders — workout schedule
    • Audio — countdown sound, BGM behavior
    • Display — light/dark/system theme, font scale, hide achievements
    • Siri Commands — reference list of every voice phrase
  7. Subscription

Current tier (Free / Pro / Welcome trial day N of 7), manage button (opens App Store subscriptions), restore purchases. Below this, the paywall preview if you're on Free.

  8. Sharing

    • Paste shared link (when you have a rhythmfit.me/w/… URL in clipboard but the deep link won't fire)
    • My shared workouts — list of links you've created
  9. Account

Sign in / sign out, profile name, export data, delete account.

  10. About

Version number (tap 5× for debug menu — power users / support), and sub-pages:

    • Health & Safety — medical disclaimer
    • How AI Works — what Claude sees and doesn't
    • Credits — third-party attributions
    • Privacy Policy — opens browser
    • Terms of Use — opens browser

What's intentionally NOT in Settings

Two things people occasionally look for:

  • Quick-start defaults. The "if I tap Start without picking a workout, what runs?" is set on the My tab (the quick-start row), not in Settings.
  • Per-workout overrides. BGM, countdown sound, completion sound defaults live in Settings; per-workout overrides live in the workout itself (My tab → tap → Edit → workout settings).

Search

There's no in-app search inside Settings (the screen is short enough that scrolling is faster). For specific topics, use the help center's search above.

Reset to defaults

Settings → About → Reset to defaults — clears every preference, keeps your workouts and session history. Useful when you've tweaked too many things and want to start over without losing your library.

There's no "factory reset" beyond uninstalling the app. We don't nest user-facing destructive actions deeper than necessary.
