title: Celebration / RecordDetail description: End-of-workout summary, share card, and next-step prompts.
Celebration / RecordDetail
The screen that appears the moment a workout finishes. Shows what you just did, offers to save the session, and (when configured) nudges next steps. Also reachable from the Stats list — tapping any past session opens the same view (with "save" replaced by "session saved").
Layout
Big result banner at the top
"Workout complete" with a celebratory animation. The banner references the workout name and the percentage completed (100 % if no skips, less if you ended early).
Per-block timeline
A horizontal strip of colored bars representing each block, sized by duration. Skipped blocks show as half-faded. Tap any bar for a tiny popover with that block's actual vs planned time.
Aggregate stats card
- Total time
- Average BPM (across blocks, weighted by duration)
- Heart-rate summary (if Watch was paired): average, max, zone breakdown
- Cadence summary (if motion data was available)
- Calories estimate (if Watch was paired; this is Apple's number, not ours)
- Total reps (workouts with rep counting, e.g. jump rope — replaces the Blocks stat)
Share card preview
A pre-rendered visual summary you can share to Stories / Snapchat / iMessage. Tap to open the share sheet. The card is a static PNG — no audio, no licensed-music exposure.
Save / Discard actions
- Save — writes the session to your local records and (if enabled) HealthKit. Default action.
- Discard — drops the session without recording it. Useful for false starts ("oh I'll do a real one in 10 minutes").
Next-step prompts (when applicable)
- "You've completed 5 in a row. Want to bump up to the intermediate version?"
- "Try Tabata next?" (suggests a related template)
- "Set a reminder for tomorrow"
Save behavior
Saved sessions become permanent records — they show up in Stats, contribute to your streak, and (if HealthKit is granted) sync to the Health app.
Discarded sessions leave no trace. The workout itself stays in My tab; the session record just isn't written.
Apple sign-in prompts
The save action is also one of the few places we ask about sign-in:
- First completed session, not signed in. A small "Save to iCloud?" inline prompt appears below the save button. Optional.
- Subsequent sessions. No prompt. The previous answer persists.
Saving locally doesn't require sign-in. Sign-in adds iCloud multi-device sync.
Re-opening from Stats
When you tap a past session in the Stats list, the same screen opens — except:
- Save / Discard are replaced by a single "Done" button.
- Next-step prompts are hidden (those only fire when the session is fresh).
- The share card preview shows the date.
You can re-share an old session at any time.
The completion sound
A short sting plays when the workout finishes. Two defaults shipped:
- Bell — clean, single tone (default).
- Chord — three-note triumphant resolution.
Custom completion sounds are configurable per-workout in Workout settings → Completion sound. Pro tier unlocks additional options.
Watch behavior
If the workout ran on Apple Watch, the watch shows a short celebration on its own screen first (3 seconds), then the iPhone takes over the detailed view. The watch celebration includes a small haptic flourish.
If the iPhone is locked when the workout ends, the celebration queues — you see it next time you unlock the phone.
